"Winter Winds" by William Blake Vogel III There's a cold, cold wind Howling in the abyss Of my soul Old winter, beneath the skin, Pale emptiness buried deep within The shadows As the warmth slowly fades, The glory bleeds away To the cold Winter still from autumn grace, Death blooms in the decay Of sweet woe Stirring echoes, like letting go, Whispering of nothing, I know Fury alone There's a cold, cold wind Howling in the abyss Of my soul Old winter, beneath the skin, Pale emptiness buried deep within The shadows As the warmth slowly fades, The glory bleeds away To the cold As I burn, I burn inside, Grave works will shine, Like stars The dead heart still aches, Story screams between the breaks, Like scars.
