There is no great science to being a reviewer/critic. Strip away
all of the pretentiousness and position, and it's all just a matter
of taste. Is Roger Ebert's judgment any more important than yours
is? Of course not.
It's all just opinion. Everybody has one, just like the mouth that
blabs it. You are the best judge of artistic worth for you. Find
a critic with your similar tastes, and then use his work as a
suggestive baseline. Remember, it's a recommendation not a rule.
Hype is for mindless sheep....
